Conference delegates visit Ordsall

LPC Living has today invited key figures from the housing industry to visit their latest development in Ordsall, Salford.

The group, comprising members of local authorities and housing associations from across the UK, met this afternoon at Cambridge Place to learn about LPC Living and their investment in what historically has been one of the most deprived areas in the UK. Organisations represented included Canterbury City Council, Halton Housing Trust, Luton Borough Council and Peaks & Plains Housing Trust.

In addition to a tour of the 22 newly built townhouses and apartments, the group also put forward questions on a number of topics including the sustainability of the development, the design considerations and the target market of the properties.

The tour, organised by Salford City Council, was in conjunction with the Chartered Institute of Housing (CIH) conference which starts tomorrow at Manchester Central and runs until Thursday. Other areas being visited include MediaCityUK and Langworthy.

Scott Neal, marketing manager, said “We pride ourselves on our excellent relationship with Salford City Council and were more than happy to meet conference delegates and talk about our partnership working in Ordsall. I would hope that the group found the visit informative and that they’re able to take some ideas back to their respective organisations”.
