Dubai Tower Construction

Name That Tower!

A competition has been launched in Dubai to name what, when built, will be the tallest commercial building in the world.

The company behind the project, the Dubai Multi Commodities Centre, said they would much rather hear from the world community than have to “pay a hefty amount to a consultant”.

Executive Chairman, Ahmed Bin Sulayem,  said “I’d be more interested in hearing what the real community has to say” adding that the proposed names could be suggested in any language be it Arabic, English, Portuguese or Mandarin to reflect the company’s aspirations for the building to become a global tower.

Anyone interested in submitting a suggestion can do so by sending a Tweet to @ahmedbinsulayem with the winner being rewarded with gold.

A spokesman at Dermaar Real Estate Brokers, the representative offices for Caryatid Properties which is owned by the Pervaiz Naviede Family Trust said, “The city of Dubai continues to amazes us every day by wanting to have the tallest, biggest and best the world can offer. Once again its vision and its determination to get things done is why we happy that our client has one of its projects, The Royal Club at Bonnington, in the area of this proposed new Tower.”
