LPC Living celebrates housing milestone

Award-winning house builder LPC Living is preparing to celebrate the construction of its 600th new home in Ordsall, Salford, once one of the most deprived areas in the UK.

The milestone will be achieved later this month with the completion of a brand new scheme named Cambridge Place located on Robert Hall Street. A total of 22 new homes are being completed with have been designed to appeal to first-time buyers and young families.

The scheme takes the number of homes built by LPC Living in Ordsall to 608. In addition, the company has facilitated the completion of a new Morrisons superstore, Travelodge hotel and NHS health centre which have created 250 jobs for the local community.

Simon Ashdown, director at LPC Living, which is owned by the Pervaiz Naviede Family Trust, said “When we were approached to work in the Ordsall area almost ten years ago a lot of people scoffed at what they felt was an area without any future. By working with the local authority and most importantly the existing community we’ve managed to reverse the trend of people leaving the area and have brought real, positive change to the lives of existing residents”.
