Ordsall Residents: Have Your Say!

Proposals to redevelop a brownfield site in Ordsall, Salford are to be unveiled to the community in advance a series of wider consultation events taking place later this month.

LPC Living, the developer owned by the Pervaiz Naviede Family Trust, has drawn up plans for the former District Centre site in the estate where it is committed to investing around £100m, in partnership with Salford City Council.

As recently reported on our blog, the site historically featured a variety of retail, leisure and community facilities. In recent years, however, the majority of services have relocated to LPC Living’s Radclyffe Park development which was completed in 2011.

Now, local residents, businesses and community organisations are invited to view proposals which would create up to 140 affordable family homes in addition to improved pedestrian links, new public open spaces and enhanced outdoor facilities for the community café.

Scott Neal, marketing manager for LPC Living, said “The regeneration of the Ordsall estate has been nothing short of transformational but this has only been achieved by listening to local residents to understand the unique issues and challenges the area faces. We would encourage anyone living or working in the area to attend one of our drop-in sessions to look at the plans in some more detail and help shape the shape the future of this important site.

Consultation events take place on Wednesday 26 November, Monday 1 December and Wednesday 3 December. For venues and times visit www.lpcliving.co.uk/haveyoursay.
