Parklands is situated in Kirkby, Knowsley just six miles north east of Liverpool’s vibrant city centre.
Completed in 2007, the development signified one of LPC Living’s most ambitious regeneration projects to date. Working in partnership with Knowsley Council the specialist developer acquired four 1960s tower blocks which had been heavily vandalised.
Two of the tower blocks were demolished to make way for 40 new build two and three bedroom family townhouses. The remaining two blocks underwent a comprehensive refurbishment to provide high-quality contemporary accommodation for first-time buyers. A number of apartments were reconfigured with internal walls demolished to make better use of the space and new windows, doors, kitchens and bathrooms were installed throughout.
All properties benefit from 24-hour security, exclusive residents’ gymnasium and on-site concierge. Parking is included in the purchase price on all properties.
There are 160 apartments, each designed to reflect contemporary modern living with laminate flooring, fully-fitted kitchen and Villeroy & Boch sanitaryware. Many properties come with balconies providing panoramic views of the Pennines and Liverpool’s Waterfront including The Three Graces.
In addition, a number of two and three-bed mews-style townhouses have been constructed with gardens and dedicated parking provided.
The scheme was launched in Autumn 2005 with the first phase selling out in just three months.
